Betting / Selections:
The Roosters are a -4.5 to -5.5 point favourite. The game total is 34.5.
Like the Thursday night game, this is difficult to read. Superficially, despite missing Boyd Cordner, James Tedesco and Siosiua Taukeiaho, the Roosters are still fielding a team that would be the envy of the large majority of teams in the NRL competition.
The Tigers, on the other hand, have lost just one player to representative duties, but are not fielding a team of similar quality to their opponents.
That said, there may be one leveler here – the playing surface.
In racing speak the Roosters prefer a fast track, where their flashy backs can fully utilise their skills, but given how slippery this surface has been without rain, one wonders how much worse it will be after a couple of days of rain.
From a betting viewpoint, this is another tough game and one that we don’t have a great deal of confidence in. We lean to the Tigers with the start, and the under 34.5, but without a lot of confidence.
Line: Tigers +5.5 $2.00 (various). * small bet
Total: Under 34.5 $1.91 (Bet365) * small bet
